You are invited June 14 to the Putting Mentoring in the Heart of Academia event

On June 14, Future of Research (FoR), a non-profit organization championing early career researchers, will host a meeting in Chicago to establish national guidelines for mentorship in academia and develop a tiered system for ranking department-level mentorship across institutions.

As one of the nation’s leading research training institutions, UW–Madison contributes to and helps shape this discussion. The UW–Madison Postdoctoral Association is hosting the university’s satellite event on June 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the UW Genetics-Biotechnology Center. Portions of the national meeting will be live-streamed and there will be a facilitated workshop-based discussion among UW participants (both faculty/administration and early career researchers)/ Feedback will be incorporated into the national dialogue in real time.

This event is open to all faculty, graduate students and postdocs.
