CORE SPOTLIGHT: Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope

Newcomb Imaging Center can image hydrated fresh tissue and other biologics

The FEI Quanta 200 scanning electron microscope in the Newcomb Imaging Center has the capability to image at either high vacuum for typical dry and coated samples, or at relatively low vacuum (ESEM mode) for hydrated fresh biological tissues or other wet samples. The ESEM also has a temperature-controlled stage with the ability to adjust chamber humidity to maintain tissue quality during imaging.  Contact Manager Sarah Swanson for ideas and assistance with your project.
