Imaging platform for guiding histotripsy tumor therapy in the liver
November 15th, 4:00pm–5:00pm
Histotripsy is a noninvasive, nonthermal and nonionizing ablation modality that has recently undergone a successful phase I human clinical trial. However, a critical limitation to more widespread adoption is the reliance on fixed 2D ultrasound for targeting the tumor, monitoring the ablation, and assessing the ablation zone. In this talk, we will provide an overview of histotripsy, discuss some of the evidence base supporting its use to destroy tumors, and present a C-arm based technique to auto
