"Biotech & Food; Communication & Culture" by Tom Zinnen, Biotech Center & UW-Extension

Zinnen will provide an update on new products on grocery shelves and new label requirements on the horizon. He’ll also provide an overview of how recent gene-editing techniques such as CRISPR are changing how genetically engineered crops are regulated in the U.S. To give a little perspective, Zinnen will present a 30-year retrospective of agricultural gene-splicing research with a focus on milestones in Wisconsin.
