Lakeshore Nature Preserve accepting proposals for Student Engagement Grants for use of the 300-acre campus nature preserve/outdoor laboratory for teaching, research or outreach

The Lakeshore Nature Preserve is now accepting proposals for Student Engagement Grants (small grants of up to $1,000) for use of the 300-acre campus nature preserve/outdoor laboratory for teaching, research, or outreach.

Eligibility & Priority:

  • UW-Madison students, faculty, staff; Individuals or teams
  • Priority to undergraduate projects or projects that engage undergraduate students
  • Funds for equipment, supplies, undergraduate student stipends, etc.

The deadline for submitting proposals is March 1, 2026.
