Shout-Outs: Krishanu Saha and Monica Neugebauer

Kris Saha (WID, CoE, SMPH) was named one of the 10 scientists who are moving CRISPR gene editing forward, according to STAT news, which provides an in-depth analysis of  biopharma and the life sciences.

Monica Neugebauer, assistant professor of biochemistry who works to identify enzymes that enable chemical reactions in living things and engineer them to be more efficient or work in new processes, is one of 20 scientists in the United States named a 2024 Packard Fellow for Science and Engineering.

Saha’s research highlights the remarkable genome editing research taking place at UW–Madison. Read more (story is behind a paywall) at: https://www.statnews.com/2024/10/31/who-to-know-series-10-scientists-crispr-gene-editing/.
