Shout-out: Morgridge Hall
UW–Madison has opened the doors to our dazzling Morgridge Hall, a new hub for innovation and collaborative learning that will serve the entire campus.
Morgridge Hall is home to the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences (CDIS), bringing together the departments of Computer Science, Statistics, and the Information School alongside Biostatistics & Medical Informatics, the Data Science Institute, and the Center for High Throughput Computing. Strategically located in the heart of campus, this state-of-the-art facility unites students, faculty, and researchers under one roof, fostering an environment where the intersection of technology and humanity drives solutions to society’s most pressing challenges.
The construction of Morgridge Hall represents a $267 million investment, funded entirely through private resources. As the largest privately funded academic building in UW-Madison’s history, it reflects the university’s commitment to building a sustainable, innovative future for computing, data, and information sciences. By attracting top talent and advancing research, the facility strengthens Wisconsin’s workforce, supports industry growth, and contributes to the state’s long-term economic vitality.
The ribbon cutting event is invitation only and registration is required. Faculty and staff with offices in Morgridge Hall can find registration information in their email invitations or reach out to Natalie Singer (natalie.singer@wisc.edu) with questions.
