Replacement of Common Obligatory Research Equipment for Quantitative LC/MS in the School of Pharmacy Analytical Instrumentation Center (AIC)

Description:
The addition of an upgraded ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography/triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (UPLC/TQ) will allow researchers the ability to advance new therapeutics toward the clinic. In clinical and translational studies, these instruments provide critical information on the in vivo behavior of new chemical entities, guiding medicinal chemistry efforts to improve drug stability, efficacy and overall suitability for further pharmaceutical development.

The School of Pharmacy AIC-MS Facility provides mass spectrometry services to University of Wisconsin–Madison and the broader community. They offer quantitative and qualitative analysis of small molecules, proteins and peptides. They have instruments available for low and high resolution analysis and offer multiple ionization modes.
