Re-energization of 800 MHz Magnet for NMR

Description:
The energization of an 800 MHz Bruker US2 magnet donated by the University of Illinois Chicago for use as a high field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer by the National Magnetic Resonance Facility at Madison (NMRFAM) will ensure the continued operation of a unique resource in the state of Wisconsin.

NMRFAM has 12 spectrometers (500 MHz–1.1 GHz) at low-cost access. They are a resource for bio-molecular NMR spectroscopy in both solution and solid state. They also provide data analysis, processing and interpretation for small molecules and materials NMR.
