Equipping the Global Infectious Disease Laboratories (GIDL)/Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC) BSL-3 Facility for Bacteriology and Virology Research

Description:
The Global Infectious Diseases Laboratories (GIDL)/Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC) BSL-3 facility will enable work on BSL-3 pathogens by UW–Madison investigators and will support infectious disease research conducted by core and faculty investigators of WNPRC, who are based at UW–Madison and around the world.

The GIDL/WNPRC BSL-3 Laboratory is a new biosafety level 3 facility at Element Labs in University Research Park. Its mission is to facilitate translational research on high-consequence pathogens.
