Replacement of Computational Infrastructure Supporting Core Bioinformatics Services
Description:
Technology improvements have increased data volumes coming from new instruments. These computational infrastructure upgrades will allow the Bioinformatics Resource Center (BRC) to keep pace with the amount of data being produced, keep researcher costs down, and maintain turnaround times.
The BRC manages and maintains the data processing pipelines needed to derive meaningful information from the raw data produced by the instruments operated by UW Biotechnology Center core facilities. The BRC has extensive experience analyzing data for genome re-sequencing, differential gene expression using RNA sequencing, single-cell RNA sequencing analysis, metagenomics, metabiome analysis, genotype-by-sequencing, de novo assembly, and other genomics research.
