Shout-Outs: Associate Vice Chancellor for Research in the Physical Sciences Amy Wendt

Amy Wendt, professor of electrical and computer engineering and the associate vice chancellor for research in the physical sciences (AVC), has been awarded the 2024 WEPAN University Change Agent Award, for her work promoting DEI both through the Women in Science & Engineering Leadership Institute (WISELI), and through all the work she has done through governance (UC Committee and the Hostile and Intimidating Behavior policy) and in her role as AVC.

Wendt also recently received an EDGE in Tech Athena Award in the Academic Leadership Category from the University of California and CITRIS and the Banatao Institute. Wendt was chosen from a highly competitive pool of candidates who exemplify remarkable technical achievements and support for underrepresented groups in tech.
