Faculty fellowship nominations are now being accepted
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021-22 H.I. Romnes Faculty Fellowships, Kellett Mid-Career Award, Vilas Associates Competition and WARF Named Professorship.
A department, a Ph.D. major program unit, or a formally constituted interdepartmental group of six or more faculty members (such as a center) may nominate one faculty member per award. (In order to reach out to these interdepartmental groups, we request that Deans’ offices responsible for such units, should please forward this announcement to the appropriate administrators in these units.) The deadline for these competitions is Friday, February 4, 2022.
Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. We value the contributions of each person and respect the profound ways their identity, culture, background, experience, status, abilities, and opinion enrich the university community. For more information on diversity and inclusion on campus, please visit: https://diversity.wisc.edu
Also, we strongly suggest that the members of the departmental or program unit nominating committees complete a workshop offered by the Women in Science and Engineering Leadership Institute (WISELI) to minimize the influence of unconscious or implicit bias in the nomination process.
