Core Manager Summit Oct 2018 NOTES

Core and shared facility managers gathered at Tripp Hall, Memorial Union.

The Office of Campus Research Cores invited UW–Madison research core and shared facility managers to a core manager summit to discuss common concerns and opportunities on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. The event gathered over 50 core staff to discuss topics such as rate-setting, starting & ending services, managing research data, communications & outreach, working with external customers, service contracts, and professional development.  Attendees reported that the event was valuable, educational, and highly collaborative.  Future events are planned.
