Replacement of Workhorse Musical Keyboard Instruments for Research and Performance

Description:

Pianos and other keyboard instruments are central to all research in the School of Music. This project upgrades and replaces some of the most important keyboard instruments in the School for research in performance, composition, theory, pedagogy, and keyboards sized for pianists with small hand-spans.

This project funds acquisition of four upright pianos (Yamaha model U3PE); two grand pianos (Steinway model B); one grand piano (Yamaha model CF6); and one alternatively-sized keyboard action (Steinbuhler 6.0).
