Badger Talks now offers workshop – seeks presenters

Badger Talks, the campus-wide talent bureau for UW–Madison, is excited to announce a new opportunity for faculty, staff, postdocs and graduate students to share expertise even more widely across Wisconsin.

In addition to presentations, workshops are now being offered through Badger Talks. With over 400 requests from non-profits, community groups, schools, businesses, libraries, and more, enjoy more ways to engage new audiences and showcase the depth of your work. Badger Talks is planning a robust marketing campaign around the new offerings to launch June 15 and expect a great response from our family of host groups around Wisconsin.

What can a workshop look like?

A workshop can be defined as an interactive educational session designed to engage participants in hands-on learning, skill-building, or collaborative problem solving. Workshops are typically more immersive and participatory than traditional presentations, and invite skill-building, creative thinking, professional development, community engagement, technical training, handy tips and how-tos to apply in work and life with takeaway resources, etc.

How to participate:

  • New presenters are welcome to use this form to join the program and add talks AND/OR workshops.
