Visit key sites and learn about Aldo Leopold’s early phenological research and experiments to restore Wisconsin ecosystems during his time as the Arboretum’s first research director. Harnessing AI for Research in Applied Linguistics: From Qualitative Coding to Quantitative Analysis
A workshop for the 2025-26 series on AI and Research in Language Studies led by Lara Bryfonski, Georgetown University

In this workshop will introduce participants to practical strategies for integrating AI into research workflows. Drawing on examples from recent studies in applied linguistics, it will explore how AI can support qualitative coding (e.g., theme identification and top-down coding practices), automate the extraction and classification of variables for meta-analysis, and assist with statistical tasks such as regression modeling and data visualization.

2026 Undergraduate Symposium

The Undergraduate Symposium is UW-Madison's largest annual showcase of undergraduate research, scholarly achievement, community-engaged work, and creativity. Dairy Symposium

Dairy Symposium features the Dairy Innovation Hub’s most advanced research from all participating campuses. The Symposium is geared toward an academic audience and anyone who enjoys a deeper dive into research. Attendees will hear thought-provoking plenary sessions, research talks from each of the Hub’s four priority areas, flash talks from students and poster presentations from Hub-funded research. This is an in-person event at Memorial Union, with recordings available after the live event.
