Replacement of Workhorse Transmission Electron Microscope for Ultrastructural Imaging
Description:
A modern workhorse transmission electron microscope (TEM) will provide augmented ultrastructural imaging capabilities benefiting numerous research groups, leading to high-impact publications and extramural funding opportunities. The new instrument will simplify operator training and improve researcher efficiency. New features will include advanced image navigation, automated drift correction for improved image quality, advanced stage navigation and other automated functions making the instrument easier to operate and the ability to generate 3D tomograms from electron microscopy images.
The School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) Electron Microscopy (EM) Facility provides support to researchers and scientists working on advanced imaging projects. The facility offers high-quality histological, ultrastructural, and 3D topographical analysis as well as consultative services.
