ML for Wisconsin: Feature Your Data for the 2024 Machine Learning Marathon!

The ML+X community invites principal investigators and companies in Wisconsin to contribute their data and associated machine learning task (classification or prediction) to the 2024 Machine Learning Marathon (MLM24), to be featured as competitions on Kaggle! Multiple applications from UW–Madison for this 12-week summer event offers a platform for machine learning practitioners to collaborate, learn, and innovate on real-world datasets, with challenges for both beginners and advanced participants. Weekly meetings will facilitate knowledge exchange and discussion on machine learning tools and strategies.

Please read the ML Marathon blog post for more information. Applications are due by April 29th. Should you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact the planning team at ml-marathon-organizers@g-groups.wisc.edu.

The program will be on Sept 23-26 and be focused on building: community, tools, and expertise. Friday Sept 27 will be an optional day with workshops and local facility tours! More details will be shared as the program develops.

NIH S10 Instrumentation Internal Review Notice of Intent

Notices of intent are due for internal review by April 25, 2024. NIH is accepting applications to its Shared Instrumentation Grant (SIG) and High-End Instrumentation (HEI) (S10) programs. Multiple applications from UW–Madison for similar instruments require official administrative assurance that such requests are a coordinated institutional effort and not unintended duplication. For this reason, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research review of the equipment requested is required.
