Society for Economic Botany / June 3 – 7, 2018
The 2018 Joint Conference of the Society of Ethnobiology and Society of Economic Botany promotes the theme of Food Security, Sovereignty, & Traditional Knowledge. Conference presenters and attendees come from a variety of fields and backgrounds, including academic faculty and students, Native/Indigenous community members, government personnel, museum staff, and individuals from private consulting and nonprofit agencies.  The schedule includes multiple days of oral presentations, breakout sessions, active/applied demonstrations, and cultural field trips. Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference / June 5 – 6, 2018
The two-day 16th annual Wisconsin Technology Council Entrepreneurs’ Conference is one of the Midwest’s premiere “how-to,” hands-on events for entrepreneurs of all ages and experience levels. Attendees range from ‘treps who are still developing their ideas to emerging company leaders who have already attracted angel and/or venture funding. These businesses cover a broad span of categories, from information technology to cleantech, from advanced manufacturing to the life sciences, and from business services to consulting. Child Language Disorders / June 7 – 9, 2018
The Symposium For Research in Child Language Disorders (SRCLD) is a forum for scientific exchange of high quality research on language disorders in children, and is the only national conference devoted solely to language disorders research. The meeting is held annually in Madison, Wisconsin.  The 2018 meeting will be at the Monona Terrace Convention Center.  See the program and register on site any time during the conference.

Small World Initiative / June 21 – 22, 2018
The Small World Initiative is “crowdsourcing antibiotic discovery.”  The SWI 2018 Symposium will feature a  poster competition, highlight innovative research and discovery across SWI’s community, and serve as a connection hub for SWI’s students-scientists and implementing instructors. Conference on Beneficial Microbes / July 8 – 11, 2018
The 2018 Beneficial Microbes Conference will provide a forum for the exchange of the latest conceptual and technological developments in the fast-moving field of beneficial host-microbe interactions. By bringing together US and international researchers across multiple disciplines (microbiology, immunology, developmental biology, neurobiology, physiology, nutrition, genomics, ecology, systems biology, evolutionary biology and clinical science), the conference will continue its 16-year tradition to examine the central role of microbes across biology.  Program and registration.

International Conference on Polyphenols / July 16 – 20, 2018
Groupe Polyphénols, the Local Organizing Committee invites you to the XXIX International Conference on Polyphenols (ICP) and the 9th Tannin Conference (TC). Groupe Polyphénols, founded in 1972, is the world’s premier society of scientists in the fields of polyphenol chemistry, bioactivity, nutrition, industrial applications, synthesis, and ecology. The XXIX ICP will be the first one to be held in the United States. In addition to the tannin conference sessions, the ICP will also have sessions on 1. Chemical and Physical-Chemistry, 2. Cognitive Science Society Meeting / July 25 – 28, 2018
CogSci 2018 provides an opportunity to consider the ways cognitive science bears on issues of change, learning, growth, and adaptation, but, as always, the conference will also reflect the full breadth of the discipline and of the society’s membership.
