Research resources: Changes to Wiley open publishing agreement

UW–Madison Libraries recently reached an agreement with Wiley to continue covering the costs of publishing in hundreds of open-access (OA) journals through Dec. 31, 2027.

Under the new agreement, authors who wish to publish in gold open-access journals must submit their article or manuscript by Aug. 31, 2026, to avoid paying article processing charges (APCs). For hybrid OA journals, articles must be accepted, with a completed author agreement, by Dec. 31, 2027.
