Project Description

This announcement is based on last year’s Program Guidelines

The Johnson & Johnson Scholars Award Program aims to fuel development of female STEM2D leaders and feed the STEM2D talent pipeline by awarding and sponsoring women at critical points in their careers, in each of the STEM2D disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a woman working in the field(s) of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing and Design (STEM2D).

The applicant must be an assistant female professor or global equivalent faculty position at the time of application at an accredited academic university, institution or design school.

The female scholar should have a minimum degree for the appropriate field:

  • Science; MD, PhD
  • Technology; PhD
  • Engineering; PhD
  • Math; MS, PhD
  • Manufacturing; PhD
  • Design; MA, MS, MDes, MArch, MFA, MLA, PhD

Amount per award: $150,000
Duration of award: 3 Years
Number of awards: 6

UW may submit one application in each category:  (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing, Design)

To submit your application, please email a single PDF to grants@research.wisc.edu:
Please include the following information:

  • Cover Sheet, with name, contact information, title of the project, and the disciplinary area you would like to be considered:  (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing, Design)
  • CV
  • Research project summary of no more than 4 pages detailing your proposed area of research

Sponsor Deadlines

Applications are due to Johnson & Johnson by October 15, 2021.
